I've been a lover of "playing house" for as long as I can remember. As a result, my home is constantly evolving. I am always staring into space while ideas are brewing, and a very patient husband is humoring me. Creating a finished product is another story. With two young kiddos, finding time to indulge my design whims while keeping the homefront running is a challenge.
I am also writing again for the first time in many years. I gave up my job as an English teacher after my second child was born four years ago. I can honestly say that while writing has long been an aspiration of mine, I've never been sure how to fit it into my life on a regular basis.
This blog is a place for me to combine two creative things that give me great satisfaction. More importantly, it's a place for me to have something of my own. It's a work in progress for sure, but life is too short to play it safe all the time. I've forced myself out on a limb. I hope you'll join me.
